DIRECTV’s MyFree DIRECTV, the ads-supported free streaming service, today added four new channels, bringing its total to 105.
MyFree DIRECTV’s Four New Channels:
DraftKings Network
The channel, which features sports betting and fantasy sports news and discussion, includes such shows as The Dan Le Batard Show with Stugotz, GoJo and Golic, Pablo Torre Finds Out, Nothing Personal With David Samson, and the Ross Tucker Podcast. You can learn more about the channel here.
Confess By Nosey
The channel says it emphasizes shows where real people offer real feelings. The lineup includes repeat airings of daytime chat programs hosted by Maury Povich, Karamo Brown, Steve Harvey and Judge Marilyn Milian from The People’s Court.
Danger TV
As the name suggests, the channel features documentaries and other programs on real-life daredevils who put their lives at risk for the thrill of it all. There are also shows on first responders and other public officials in perilous situations.
Earth Touch
The channel is home to hundreds of wildlife and nature documentaries such as Speed Kills (leopards), Turf War: Lions & Hippos, The Lion In Your Living Room (domestic cats) and Walking With Wolves. You can learn more about the channel here.
What Is MyFree DIRECTV?
MyFree DIRECTV, which started with 70 channels in November, is expected to add more channels in the coming weeks and months. DIRECTV is hoping that MyFree DIRECTV will generate additional advertising revenue as well as attract potential customers who might subscribe after coming to its site/app.
Who Can Watch DIRECTV’s Free Service?
MyFree DIRECTV is available to both DIRECTV subscribers and non-DIRECTV consumers and includes both live channels and on-demand programming. You can watch the free channels by creating a DIRECTV account at DIRECTV.com and then going to the DIRECTV Stream app or this web page.
What Free Channels Are Missing From MyFree DIRECTV?
While MyFree DIRECTV’s lineup still trails other free services such as Sling TV’s Freestream, Pluto TV and Xumo Play, which offer hundreds of free channels, the TV provider is likely to slowly build the numbers during the year as it generates more viewership. There are several high-profile freebies that have yet to be added to MyFree DIRECTV, such as the NFL Channel and the MLB Channel.
