The TV Answer Man – Follow me on X.
Paramount Plus dropped a treat for streaming fans today: The first episode of season two of Harrison Ford’s Yellowstone saga drama, 1923. Even better, you can watch the show, and every other Paramount Plus movie and program, for free for the next 30 days.
How to Get Paramount Plus For Free For 30 Days
The streamer is now offering a 30-day free trial if you go to this promotional page. The deal is good for both the $7.99 a month Paramount Essential plan (ads included) and the $12.99 a month Paramount Plus with Showtime plan which includes limited ads. (Regular prices will apply if you don’t cancel prior to the end of the one-month free trial.)
The free month would extend from now until March 24, which means you couold watch the first five episodes of 1923 for free. In addition, the Paramount Plus with Showtime plan includes a live feed of your local CBS affiliate so you can watch the first weekend (March 22-23) of the March Madness college basketball tournament. (CBS will broadcast the games along with TBS, TNT and truTV.)
What’s New On Paramount Plus: Season Two of 1923
In 1923, Ford stars as the patriarch of the Dutton family who made their TV debut in the smash Paramount Network hit, Yellowstone, with modern day rancher Kevin Costner in lead. In this prequel set in the 1920s, Ford and his wife (Helen Mirren) are ranchers who battle the advent of The Great Depression and other forces (natural and not so natural) that threatened to destroy their land.
When Will Future Episodes of 1923 Air?
The first episode is now available on Paramount Plus. Here’s the list for future episodes of the 10-episode season two:
March 2: Episode two
March 9: Episode three
March 16: Episode four
March 23: Episode five
March 30: Episode six
April 6: Episode seven
April 13: Episode eight
April 20: Episode nine
April 27: Episode ten
What Other Shows Are On Paramount Plus?
Shows that are also currently available with the Paramount Plus with Showtime plan include Landman, which stars Billy Bob Thornton and Jon Hamm as Texas oil men, and The Agency, a CIA spy drama starring Michael Fassbender and Richard Gere. (I have watched both shows and give them my highest recommendation.)
What About Paramount Plus’ Cheaper Plan?
Paramount Plus’ Essential plan costs $7.99 a month but it does not include Showtime or the local CBS affiliate feed. The streamer says Essential offers more than 40,000 movies and episodes. With the addition of Showtime and the CBS feed, the Paramount Plus with Showtime plan has even more movies and shows.
