Hulu to Add 16 New Titles This Week – Here’s the 3 Most Interesting

Hulu this week (September 15-21, 2024) plans to add 16 new TV shows and movies to its subscription Video on Demand service. Here’s the three most interesting, in my humble opinion:

American Sports Story: Series Premiere (FX on Hulu)
Josh Andrés Rivera stars as Aaron Hernandez, the former New England Patriots tight end whose career came to a crashing halt when he was accused of murdering the boyfriend of his fiancee’s sister. The 10-episode series, which was produced by the Ryan Murphy team behind such pulpy faves as FX’s American Crime Story and American Horror Story, will chronicle Hernandez’s rise and fall with some intriguing supporting portrayals (Patrick Schwarzenegger as his University of Florida teammate, OB Tim Tebow; Jerry Levine as Patriots owner Robert Kraft; Norbert Leo Butz as Pats coach Bill Belichick; and Ross Jirgi as QB1 Tom Brady.) This will be must viewing for any sports fan. Debuts Wednesday, September 18.

Child Star: Documentary Premiere (Hulu Original)
Have you ever wondered how famous children in the entertainment business manage to grow up with their sanity intact? Well, they often don’t, and this documentary provides the receipts with candid interviews with Drew Barrymore, Kenan Thompson, JoJo Siwa, Raven-Symoné and Alyson Stoner. Demi Lovato, who can certainly relate, is the doc’s director. Debuts Tuesday, September 17. The 76th Primetime Emmy Awards: Special Premiere (ABC)
