DIRECTV and DIRECTV Stream have added seven more ads-supported free channels to their lineups: Scripps’ Court TV and Scripps News, and Cineverse’s The Bob Ross Channel, Comedy Dynamics, Dog Whisperer with Cesar Millan, Dove Channel and MeatEater TV.

The seven channels are now available to Entertainment plan and above subscribers to DIRECTV Stream and DIRECTV via Internet service as well as DIRECTV’s streaming app for satellite customers.

DIRECTV has bolstered its streaming lineups with numerous free channels over the last several months. The channels are called free because they also available on such free services as Pluto TV and Tubi. The company says in a press release that more free channels from Cineverse may be added later.

“We are creating a second-to-none lineup of streaming channels that will allow our customers to choose from a wider variety of genres or explore their most avid interests in greater depth,” said Rebecca Nelson, senior vice president of content and programming at DIRECTV. “This new relationship with Cineverse allows us to draw from one of the industry’s most dynamic portfolios to strategically add more channels as our customers begin to discover and embrace these new options.”
