TV Answer Man, do you know which TV companies will have the new Angels baseball channel? – Mari, Huntington Beach, California.
Mari, the Los Angeles Angels have discovered a creative way to respond to the likely financial dissolution of the FanDuel Sports Network. Rather than simply excising its partnership with the failing RSN (regional sports network) company, as other MLB teams have done, the Angels have purchased the the channel where the LA-based team’s games aired. The new channel, which will be called FanDuel Sports Network West, will air the Angels’ games starting with a March 22 spring training contest.
This makes for an easy transition for Angels fans. Other MLB teams which were previously carried by FanDuel Sports Network currently do not have carriage deals with cable/satellite/live streaming services. (Although it’s likely they will by Opening Day.) However, the Angels’ TV deals with those TV providers will not skip a beat because the FanDuel Sports Network carriage contracts will simply transfer over to the Angels. This means that TV companies such as DIRECTV, Spectrum TV and Cox will continue to carry the Angels in their lineups.
The Angels will also be available via streaming at Angels.TV for $99 for the entire season or $19.99 a month. If you live outside the Angels market, you can watch their games for $149.99 on the MLB TV out of market plan.
If you’re unsure if you live in the Angels market, you can input your zip code in the web page here or see the map below. The Angels’ territory is in the red:

Mari, I hope that answers your question. Happy viewing and stay safe!
