Amazon’s Prime Video to Add 7 New Releases This Week: The One to Watch

Amazon’s Prime Video this week (March 8-14, 2026) will add seven new TV shows/sporting events to its streaming lineup. Here’s the one to watch, in my humble opinion:

Scarpetta (8 Episodes, Season One)
When to Watch: Wednesday, March 11
What Kind of Show: Crime Thriller
Who’s In It: Nicole Kidman, Jamie Lee Curtis

Based on the Patricia Cornwell novels, Nicole Kidman (pictured above) stars as medical examiner Kay Scarpetta who investigates murders that no one else thinks need investigating. (She’s a modern day – and better looking – version of Jack Klugman’s Quincy.) Kidman is great in these type of roles and the strong supporting cast includes Jamie Lee Curtis as her sister; Bobby Cannavale as a detective; and Simon Baker as an FBI profiler. Sounds like multiple seasons is the diagnosis for this medical examiner.
