Paramount Plus Added 110 New Releases Today – Here Are the 6 to Watch

Paramount Plus today (June 1, 2025) added 110 new TV shows and movies to its streaming lineup. Below are the six to watch, in my humble opinion. But before I begin with my picks, Paramount Plus today also added the season one finale of MobLand, the crime drama starring Tom Hardy, Helen Mirren and Pierce Brosnan, If you haven’t seen it, it’s an exceptional showcase of great writing combined with great acting.

Now, back to our six picks of today’s new additions to Paramount Plus:

Boogie Nights (1997)
Director Paul Thomas Anderson’s inventive 1997 take on the 1970s adult cinema industry starring Mark Wahlberg (pictured above) as the cut out for the legendary John Holmes. However, PTA’s film is far more than a chronicle of the SoCal adult film world from decades ago. It’s a thrilling and sometimes tragic look at a collection of lost souls who yearn for acceptance and recognition. whether they are shedding clothes for cash or slinging stereos in the Valley.

The Godfather and The Godfather, Part II (1972 and 1974 respectively)
Arguably the two greatest films ever, not just among those recently added to Paramount+. Director (and co-writer with Mario Puzo) Francis Ford Coppola paints a cinematic masterpiece in each film, chronicling the rise of the Corleone crime family from its early immigrant roots at the turn of the 20th Century to its powerful reign in 1950s and 60s America. The cast is one to die for, pun intended, with Marlon Brando somehow even eclipsing his greatest roles in the 1950s (On the Waterfront, A Streetcar Named Desire) as family head Vito Corleone and a here-to-then unknown named Al Pacino as his son, Michael Corleone, who’s corrupted by family loyalties and power. And there’s the supporting crew. James Caan. Robert Duvall. Diane Keaton. John Cazale. Sterling Hayden. Robert DeNiro (!). My goodness, I can talk about these movies all day long.

Indiana Jones and the Raiders of the Lost Ark (1981)
Indiana Jones and the Raiders of the Lost Ark is a cinematic masterpiece that seamlessly blends action, adventure, and archaeology into a rollercoaster ride of a movie. Directed by Steven Spielberg and starring Harrison Ford as the iconic Indiana Jones, the film takes audiences on a breathtaking journey across the globe in search of the elusive Ark of the Covenant.

Pulp Fiction (1994)
Director Quentin Tarantino’s non-linear masterpiece weaves interconnected stories of crime, wit, and dark humor as only he could. And what a cast! Samuel L. Jackson, Bruce Willis, John Travolta, Uma Thurman, Harvey Keitel, Tim Roth, Ving Rhames, Christopher Walken…it just goes on and on. Pulp Fiction, which has often been copied, even to some degree by Tarantino himself, should be in anyone’s list of the top 10 best movies ever. And if you disagree, allow me to retort!

No Country for Old Men (2007)
The Coen Brothers’ flawless neo-western stars Josh Brolin as a good old boy who stumbles upon a jackpot of money but is then pursued by a ruthless, coin-flipping killer, played deliciously by Javier Bardem. (And let’s not overlook the commanding performance of Tommy Lee Jones as the weather-beaten sheriff.) Joel and Ethan Coen have conspired to make cinema brilliance over the years with films such as Raising Arizona, Fargo, The Big Lebowski, and Miller’s Crossing. But there may be no better Coen Brothers film than No Country for Old Men. If you haven’t seen it, start streaming.
