Amazon’s Prime Video to Remove 29 Movies In 4 Days: The 3 to Watch

Amazon’s Prime Video is removing 29 movies from its lineup on March 1, 2026. Here are the three to watch before they leave, in my humble opinion:

Ray (2004)
What Kind of Movie: Bio Drama
Who’s In It: Jamie Foxx, Kerry Washington, Terrence Howard

Ray, directed by Taylor Hackford chronicles the life story of the late and great blind singer, Ray Charles, starring Jamie Foxx in the performance of a lifetime. Foxx’s exceptional (and still underrated) talents are on full display and Hackford does a masterful job of showing the singer’s full life, warts and all.

Burn After Reading (2008)
What Kind of Movie: Comedy
Who’s In It: Brad Pitt, Frances McDormand, George Clooney

The Coen Bros. screwball comedy/drama stars Brad Pitt and Frances McDormand as amateur espionage traders with fun supporting performances from George Clooney, John Malkovich and Richard Jenkins. While this is not the best Coen, better than average Coen is better than most anything else.

To Live and Die In LA
What Kind of Movie: Thriller
Who’s In It: William Petersen, Willem Dafoe, John Turturro

Welcome to the go-go 80s, the land of synthesizers, cocaine piles, designer sunglasses, and suit jackets rolled up to the elbows. Made about the same time that Miami Vice was patrolling the streets of southern Florida, William Petersen starred in this William Friedkin-directed thriller as a Secret Service agent who vows to break every rule (and every law) to take down a lunatic counterfeiter played with relish by gap-toothed Willem Dafoe. The film captures the nihilistic (and disposable) vibe of mid-1980s LA and Petersen and Dafoe are great here. Weird, wild film that should be seen at least once. (Or more.) (Picture above of Dafoe and Petersen.)
