Peacock to Add 74 New Releases This Week: The 3 to Watch

By Phillip Swann
The TV Answer Man – Buy Me a Coffee!

Peacock this week (February 23-March 1, 2026) will add 74 new TV shows and movies to its streaming lineup. Here are the three to watch, in my humble opinion.

The Traitors (Season finale)
When to Watch: Thursday, February 26
What Kind of Show: Reality/Competition Show
Who’s In It: Alan Cumming

The Traitors, hosted by the mischievously-eyed Alan Cumming (Eyes Wide Shut), is a game show where Z-list celebrities compete for cash prizes by engaging in a Survivor-like game where some participants are secret traitors who plot to ‘murder’ other players. Somehow, by the end of the season, a winner is declared based on whether the traitors stay in the game or not. This season’s celebrity Z-list includes – and you might want to sit down for this – Yam Yam Arocho, Maura Higgins, Donna Kelce (Mom to the NFL’s Kelces), and the alliterative Kristen Kish. And this week, you can watch the season four finale on Thursday!

Licorice Pizza (2021)
When to Watch: Sunday, March 1
What Kind of Movie: Comedy/Drama
Who’s In It: Cooper Hoffman, Alana Haim, Bradley Cooper

The brilliant 2021 comedy/drama from director Paul Thomas Anderson stars Cooper Hoffman (Philip Seymour Hoffman’s son) and rock queen Alana Haim (pictured above) as two oddly connected young souls trying to find their place amid the weirdness of Southern California’s San Fernando Valley in the mid-1970s. Bradley Cooper chews the delicious scenery as the real-life movie producer, Jon Peters, who seems obsessed with being Barbra Streisand’s boyfriend (he was) while engaging in rants and rages over every trivial matter. And Sean Penn plays Jack Holden (a William Holden cut-out), a whiskey-swilling veteran actor who never knows when to get off the stage. Licorice Pizza is Paul Thomas Anderson (Boogie Nights, Magnolia, There Will Be Blood, The Master) at his best and it should have won the 2022 Academy Award for Best Picture. (It was nominated.) PTA shows once again that he’s the Robert Altman of this era, weaving a tale of joy and heartbreak featuring some of the most interesting characters you’ll ever see on screen.

Fight Club (1999)
When to Watch: Sunday, March 1
What Kind of Movie: Drama
Who’s In It: Edward Norton,
Brad Pitt
The 1999 drama from director David Fincher stars Edward Norton as a meek worker-bee who breaks out of his shell (and breaks a few bones) when he joins an underground boxing community. Brad Pitt plays his alter ego/friend who teaches him the ropes while simultaneously (metaphysically speaking) tying him up with them. This is early Fincher at his weirdest (and most brilliant) and you’ll either love this film or hate it. If you love it, watch it again for all the clues you missed the first time.
