NBC, Fox, CBS, CW, ABC Adding 12 New Shows Monday Night: The 3 to Watch

CBS, NBC, ABC, Fox and The CW tonight (February 16, 2026) will add 12 shows to their lineups. Here are the three to watch, in my humble opinion. (All Times Eastern.)

American Idol (New episode)
Where to Watch: ABC
What Kind of Show: Reality/Competition
Who’s In It: Carrie Underwood, Luke Bryan, Lionel Richie, Ryan Seacrest
Tonight, the celebrity judges will preside over part four (and final round) of the opening auditions before the show leaves Hawaii for next week’s episode in Nashville. (Are you sure about that, show producers?)

Primetime In Milan
What Kind of Show: Sports
Where to Watch: NBC
When to Watch: 8 p.m.
NBC’s exclusive primetime coverage of the 2026 Winter Olympics continues tonight with highlights and recorded events from Bobsled, Alpine Skiing, Ski Jumping, Curling, Hockey and Freestyle Skiing. If you didn’t get a chance to watch earlier today on Peacock, this is a great way to catch up. Just be careful of spoilers from those who love to spoil.

What Kind of Show: Reality Competition
How’s this for a concept: Eleven teams each consisting of family members and an amateur survivalist are ordered into a vast Canadian wilderness to forge for food and build shelter without any tools. Not only that, their every move is monitored by multiple cameras. No, it’s not the CIA’s latest MKUltra experiment; it’s a Fox show! Tonight, in a new episode (four in season two), the network says the teams must deal with a “shocking extraction!”
