Did you subscribe to the MLB TV streaming package last year? You might want to cancel your subscription – right now! – or you will soon be billed for this season as well.
The online plan, which streams around 100 out-of-market MLB games every week during the regular season, costs $149.99 this year, the same as 2025. )The monthly rate is $29.99, again the same as in 2025.) That’s good news for fans who want to subscribe to MLB TV this year, too.
But if you don’t want to subscribe in 2026, MLB TV is about to sign you up anyway because the plan includes an auto-renewal policy. And the auto renewal for an annual subscription payment is set to kick in around March 1, whether you were a monthly or annual subscriber.
“You also agree that your subscription to MLB TV Yearly or Single Team, as applicable, will automatically renew annually on or about March 1st at the then-current year’s regular full yearly price,” MLB TV’s terms of agreement state. “Your monthly subscription to MLB.TV Monthly will recur monthly through and including October and will automatically renew annually on or about March 1 each year at the then-current year’s regular full monthly price.”
If you want to keep MLB TV in 2026, no problem. Just let the auto renewal take effect. But if you’re not sure, this is the time to cancel. After all, you could always sign up later if you change your mind. (Note: If you do cancel auto renewal, and sign up later, you will need to sign up for ESPN’s 30-day free trial of its Unlimited app to get MLB TV.)
How to Cancel MLB TV’s Auto Renewal By March 1
MLB TV’s web site says that if you want to cancel your auto renewal prior to billing, click here to get started. If you have additional questions about canceling your auto renewal, or anything else related to MLB TV, you can fill out a questionnaire form here.
