Netflix, Peacock, Hulu, Amazon, HBO Adding 12 New Releases Today: The 3 to Watch

The TV Answer Man – Buy Me a Coffee!
Netflix, Peacock, Hulu, HBO Max and Amazon Prime are adding 12 new shows and movies today (February 5, 2026). Here are the three to watch, in my humble opinion:
The Lincoln Lawyer (Season 4, 10 episodes)
Where to Watch: Netflix
What Kind of Show: Legal Drama
Who’s In It: Manuel Garcia-Rulfo, Neve Campbell
Manuel Garcia-Rulfo stars as Mickey Haller, a LA defense attorney who wins unwinnable cases while working out of a Lincoln Navigator (ergo, The Lincoln Lawyer). Neve Campbell (Scream) plays his ex-wife, and rival prosecutor, while Becki Newton is yet another ex-wife and current legal aide. (This guy gets around!) Based on the Michael Connelly books, and created by David E. Kelley (Boston Legal, Ally McBeal), The Lincoln Lawyer is an easy watch and it doesn’t matter where you pick up the show. But if you want to catch up, seasons one through three are now available on Netflix.
Field Generals: History of the Black Quarterback
Where to Watch: Peacock
What Kind of Show: Sports Documentary (Four parts)
Who’s In It: Maria Taylor, Doug Williams, Randall Cunningham
For younger fans, it may seem quaint to regard the concept of a ‘black quarterback’ as something special. But just a few decades ago, many coaches and general managers believed that an African American wasn’t smart enough to handle the duties and would often draft a standout college QB only to switch him to cornerback or wide receiver in training camp. This four-part Peacock original documentary, hosted by Maria Taylor, examines how the league’s thinking changed over the years and why the ‘black quarterback’ now dominates in the person of such superstars as Patrick Mahomes, Lamar Jackson and Jalen Hurts. (The premiere episode streams February 5 with a new episode running every Thursday until the finale on February 26.)
Search Party (Seasons 1-5)
Where to Watch: Netflix
What Kind of Series: Black Comedy
Who’s In It: Alia Shawkat, John Reynolds
Looking for a hidden gem to binge? Try Search Party, a smart and amusing HBO Max/TBS series that follows a group of young Brooklynites as they search for a missing friend. The search leads to unexpected complications – and comedy, of course, albeit of the dark kind. Rotten Tomatoes gave each of Search Party’s five seasons a score of 93 or higher
