HBO Max to Add 9 New Releases This Week: The One to Watch

HBO Max this week (February 2-8, 2026) will add nine new TV shows to its streaming lineup. Here’s the one to watch, in my humble opinion:

Puppy Bowl XXII
When to Watch: February 8 (2 p.m. ET)
What Kind of Show: Adorable Cuteness
Who’s In It: Puppies!

On Super Bowl Sunday, HBO Max will simulcast Animal Planet’s 22nd annual Puppy Bowl where cute canines skirmish for toys and treats on a mock football field. If you’ve never watched a Puppy Bowl, do stream in, even if just for 10 minutes or so. The display of adorability could warm the heart of a KGB agent. And even better, the producers pick the litter lineup from a shelter and find homes for each lovable pup by show time.
