NBC, CBS, ABC, Fox and The CW tonight (December 30, 2025) will add 14 new shows, sporting events and episodes. Here are the three to watch, in my humble opinion:

NBA Basketball: Pistons at Lakers
Where to Watch: NBC
When to Watch: 10:30 p.m. ET

NBC tonight will broadcast a NBA doubleheader with a major league matchup in the nightcap with the Detroit Pistons (24-8) visiting the Los Angeles Lakers (20-10). The Motown team, led by Cade Cunningham (26.5 points a game), is atop the Central Division while LA, led by all-world Luka Doncic (33.7 points a game), is leading the Pacific Division. Detroit is a 3-point favorite tonight.

WWE NXT
Where to Watch: The CW
When to Watch: 8 p.m. ET

The old CW has a big night ahead for wrasslin’ fans. Bitter rivals Je’Von Evans and Ricky Saints will finally go head-to-head; NXT North American Champion Ethan Page will defend his crown against Moose; and Lexis King and Tavion Heights will battle it out with the winner challenging Jasper Troy for the Speed championship. And that’s not all. The two-hour spectacular will also feature a mini-concert by Scottish wrestler and parody singer Joe Hendry.

High Potential
Where to Watch: ABC
When to Watch: 9 p.m., 10 p.m. ET

If you’re looking for a new show to love, check out High Potential which stars Kaitlin Olson as a genius single Mom (don’t all single Moms have to be geniuses?) who uses her exceptional brain power to help the local police solve crimes. Olson (It’s Always Sunny In Philadelphia) is very good in lead and ABC tonight will air two episodes from season two. If you like them, you can catch up with season one and the first seven episodes of season two on Hulu. ABC will debut S2, episode eight on January 6, 2025.
