Netflix, Disney+, Peacock, Hulu Adding 9 New Releases Today: The 3 to Watch

Netflix, Hulu, Peacock, Paramount Plus, Disney Plus and HBO Max today (December 23, 2025) are adding nine new shows and movies to their lineups. Here are the three to watch, in my humble opinion:

Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour/End of an Era (episodes five and six; series finale episodes)

When to Watch: Tuesday, December 23
Disney Plus has moved up the final two episodes of the Taylor Swift Eras concert docuseries; they were originally scheduled for Friday but now will debut on Tuesday to bring some extra holiday cheer. I haven’t seen the first four, but several TV critics have praised the documentary as surprisingly revealing and entertaining. Who knew? (The concert film is still available on Disney Plus.)

Eden (2024)

When to Watch: Tuesday, December 23
Based on a true story, the Ron Howard-directed Eden stars Jude Law and Vanessa Kirby as a German couple in 1929 who decide to move to a remote island to avoid the rise of fascism in their country. Their plan to create an isolated utopia falls apart when two more couples hear of their plan and show up on the island unannounced. The unwanted intrusion quickly leads to infighting among the groups and threats of violence. Eden, which also stars Ana de Armas and Sydney Sweeney, is a potboiler portrayal of the human survival instinct which can turn deadly at a moment’s notice. The movie starts slow but soon builds to an intriguing resolution.

When to Watch: Tuesday, December 23, 8 p.m. ET
The Washington, D.C. based The Kennedy Center For the Performing Arts annually issues awards to performers for their lifetime achievements in the arts. Tonight’s ceremony, which was recorded earlier this month, will honor Sylvester Stallone, KISS, Michael Crawford, George Strait and Gloria Gaynor. If you’re a fan of one of the honorees, you’ll love this show. It’s a love fest with plenty of clips and musical performances.
