Roku is now offering a slew of streaming discounts just in time for Christmas, including Apple TV for free for three months; Hallmark+ and Starz each for $1.99 a month for two months; and the company’s Howdy for 99 cents a month for two months.

The discounts can be redeemed on Roku TVs and streaming devices as well as at The Roku Channel which does not require a subscription or hardware purchase. You can order the premium services at The Roku Channel by setting up a Roku account which is free.

Update: One reader reports he has had difficulty redeeming the discounts on a non-Roku device so it might require using a Roku device although the company says at its website that you can order premium subscriptions at The Roku Channel without one.

Other streaming services now available at reduced prices at The Roku Channel are:

Frndly – One free month
Lifetime Movie Club – $1.99 a month for two months
BET+ – $1.99 a month for two months
A&E Crime Central – $1.99 a month for two months
Up Faith & Family – $1.99 a month for two months
All Reality – $1.99 a month for two months
Dove – $1.99 a month for two months
AspireTV – 99 cents a month for two months
Sundance Now – $1.99 a month for two months
Kino Film Collective – $1.99 a month for two months
ScreamBox – $2.99 a month for two months

Curiosity Stream – $2.99 a month for two months
The Great Courses – $1.99 a month for two months
AcornTV – $1.99 a month for two months
Vix Premium – $1.99 a month for two months.

And, believe it or not, there are even more subscription discounts at The Roku Channel which you can access here.

Happy viewing, everyone!

From what I can tell these offers are not available on free roku accounts for viewing without roku hardware.

I have a free roku account. Even if you manage to subscribe to one of the offers, you can’t view the programs in that subscription without roku hardware.

The free account is only good for the free roku channel items. I’ve used the app for some.

I did some experimentation. The Roku Channel can either be referenced from the website or the Roku Mobile App (android, IOS). In either case you can subscribe to the various subscriptions (except the Apple which is excluded without a Roku device). You can also play the subscribed content on these options. Neither of these give you TV display.

Amazon does have the Roku Channel App, which can run on Firetv/firestick. Even though you login with same account with the subscriptions, it only can get the free content.

This cost me 99 cents for Howdy.
