TV Answer Man, I am a huge fan of The Beatles and I want to watch this week’s Anthology show on Disney Plus. Any tips on how to watch for free? They don’t seem to have a free trial. – Connie, Brooklyn.

Connie, The Beatles Anthology, the definitive documentary on the Fab Four, which first aired three decades ago, has been remastered, restored and expanded with a ninth episode which includes behind-the-scenes footage of Paul, George and Ringo coming together after all those years ago. Disney+ will air the entire 10-hour plus Anthology over three consecutive nights with three episodes each night starting tomorrow, November 26.

You’re right. Disney+ does not offer a free trial. But there is a way to watch all three nights of The Beatles Anthology for free.

DIRECTV’s MyEntertainment genre plan, which offers more than 60 lifestyle and entertainment channels for $34.99 a month, also includes the Hulu/Disney+ bundle (and HBO Max with ads) for free to new customers. Yes, free. But even better, DIRECTV’s MyEntertainment plan has a 5-day free trial during which you get access to the complete Hulu/Disney lineup including The Beatles Anthology. So you can sign up today and watch all three nights for free and then cancel without paying a dime.

Of course, you might want to stay with the plan. It’s actually a pretty good deal. Where else can you get 60 basic cable channels – and Hulu, Disney+ and HBO Max? Plus, the first two months are now $29.99 a month. But if you just want to watch The Beatles for free, here’s your ticket to ride.

Connie, I hope that answers your question. Happy viewing and stay safe!
