Alien: Earth Finds Landing Spot For Second Season
Alien: Earth, the sci-fi series created by Noah Hawley, the brilliant mind behind Fargo the TV show, and Legend, has been renewed by FX/Hulu for a second season. The Alien prequel, which stars Sydney Chandler, daughter of Kyle (Friday Night Lights), is a terrific and thought-provoking show and it will be fun to see where Hawley takes it in S2. No word on when the next season will air. (Season one now available on Hulu.)

Grotesquerie Gets the Guillotine At FX
Matt Belloni of Puck reports that the Ryan Murphy-produced horror series, Grotesquerie, is getting slashed away after one season. The show, which debuted in 2024, starred Niecy Nash-Betts as a detective trailing a serial killer.

Will Netflix Cancel Meghan Markle’s Show?
Rumors continue to swirl that Netflix has had enough of the reluctant royal princess, Meghan Markle. The streamer will debut Markle’s Christmas special on December 3. But Ms. Markle herself is expressing doubts about whether Netflix will green-light a third season of her lifestyle program. To learn more, click here.

Jessica Alba’s Home Makeover Show Renewed By Roku
Roku may not be known as the king of original programming, or perhaps, even a lowly serf of original programming. However, the device maker has launched a small stable of shows including Jessica Alba’s Honest Renovations, a home makeover program co-hosted by Lizzy Mathis. In fact, Roku just renewed JA/LM for season four – and if you weren’t aware that there were three seasons before – you are not alone. (Maybe Roku needs to do a little more publicity for these shows, huh?) To learn more, click here.

Kim Kardashian’s All’s Fair To Get Season Two; Is That All Fair?
All’s Fair, the new Hulu drama starring Kim Kardashian as the head of an all-female law firm, seems guaranteed to get a second season despite nearly every TV critic on the planet shaming it as one of the worst shows ever assembled. The aforementioned Ryan Murphy (who’s not faring well in this column, is he?) is already hard at work at penning a second season, according to this report by the U.S. Sun.
