Netflix tomorrow (November 1) plans to add 43 new TV shows and movies to its streaming lineup. Here are the three to watch, in my humble opinion:

Baby Driver (2017)
If you’re looking for a movie to get your heart racing, Baby Driver stars Ansel Elgort as a mentally deficient getaway driver for a crime crew populated by a murderer’s row of superb supporting players – Kevin Spacey, Jon Hamm, Jamie Foxx, Jon Bernthal and Eiza Gonzalez. The team’s plan to pull off a heist backfires, leaving Elgort’s character at odds with the group and looking for a fast avenue out. Directed by Edgar Wright, Baby Driver is an inventive and action-packed crime drama flavored with some delicious scenery chewing performances. Great filmmaking on display here. And, boy, do we miss Spacey in roles like this.

Judas and the Black Messiah (2021)
The film, which is based on a real-life story, stars LaKeith Stanfield as Bill O’Neal, an FBI informant who infiltrates the Black Panthers during the 1960s to get incriminatory evidence against its leaders. However, O’Neal soon regrets his mission when his work triggers a controversial homicide of the group’s leader, Fred Hampton, played exceptionally by Daniel Kaluuya. Judas and the Black Messiah is an unflinching portrait of a troubled time in our nation’s history which triggered excesses from all political sides.

Elvis (2022)
Austin Butler is sensational as the King of Rock n’ Roll in this raucous Baz Luhrmann-directed biofilm which chronicles Presley’s rise and fall. Tom Hanks plays Colonel Parker, the controlling mastermind behind Elvis’ commercial success. There have been dozens of movies about Elvis, the man and the myth, but there is none more entertainment than this one largely because of Butler’s eerie channeling of the Presley persona.
