Netflix to Add 10 New Shows & Movies This Week – Here Are the 3 to Watch

Netflix this week (October 19-25, 2025) plans to add 10 new TV shows and movies to its streaming lineup. Here are the three to watch, in my humble opinion:

 

A House of Dynamite (2025)
Release Date: Friday, October 24
Idris Elba stars as the president of the United States who must formulate a response to an incoming missile headed for Chicago in 18 minutes. Directed by action queen Kathryn Bigelow (Zero Dark Thirty, The Hurt Locker – both riveting films), A House of Dynamite promises to be a rip-roaring thrill ride of a movie, the kind that once would dominated the box office. But this is 2025 and you get to watch it at home thanks to Netflix. Elba’s co-stars include Rebecca Ferguson, Gabriel Basso, Tracy Letts, Jason Clarke and Jared Harris.

Who Killed the Montreal Expos?
Release Date: Tuesday, October 21
The Montreal Expos were perennially one of the most competitive teams in Major League Baseball, fielding such elite players as Tim Raines, Pedro Martinez, Andre Dawson, Vladimir Guerrero and Randy Johnson. However, after a series of false steps by ownership, team attendance declined and the Expos moved to Washington, D.C. starting with the 2005 season. This Netflix original documentary examines how the franchise was sabotaged and how its departure is still a bitter memory for Montreal sports fans.

Nobody Wants This: Season 2
Release Date: Thursday, October 23
Kristen Bell and Adam Brody star in this romcom Netflix original series about two lovers lost in LA. Season two promises a twist with Brody’s real-life wife, Leighton Meester, joining the cast as Bell’s longtime rival, officially making this a Gossip Girl reunion.
