Hulu this week (October 19-25, 2025) plans to add 23 new TV shows and movies to its streaming lineup. Here’s the one to watch, in my humble opinion:

The Hand That Rocks the Cradle: Film Premiere (Hulu Original)
Release Date: Wednesday, October 22
Mary Elizabeth Winstead stars as a new mother whose grip on her marriage and family begins to slip after hiring a devious nanny (Maika Monroe). I’m looking forward to seeing this remake of the 1992 film (which starred Rebecca DeMornay as the nanny and Annabella Sciorra as the Mom) largely for Monroe who’s been terrific in a series of horror films including Longlegs, Villains and It Follows. She’s a special talent and the role of the naughty nanny should serve her well.
