HBO Max this weekend (October 17-19, 2025) is adding 16 new TV shows to its streaming lineup.

The new shows include season three of The Thaw, the Polish drama starring Katarzyna Wajda as a widowed detective investigating the murder of a young woman; An Intimate Evening with Adam Pally, an HBO original comedy stand-up special; and season one of Who Saw the Peacock Dance In the Jungle?, a Japanese manga drama about the mysterious murder of a police officer.

HBO Max on Sunday will also premiere the season one finale of Task, the cat-and-mouse police drama starring Mark Ruffalo and Tom Pelphrey. Top show; I highly recommend catching up with the first six episodes and then catching the finale on Sunday.
