NBC to Reclaim Sunday Morning Baseball Package: Sources
Sports Business Journal reports that NBC is close to finalizing an agreement to reclaim the rights to MLB’s Sunday Morning Baseball package; Roku carried it this year after the NBC-owned Peacock had the rights in 2024.

Comcast’s Deal to Carry Yes Network Ends In 11 Days
Front Office Sports reports that Comcast could lose the Yes Network, the regional TV home of the New York Yankees and Brooklyn Nets, at month’s end. The current short-term agreement is set to expire and it’s unclear if the two sides are close to signing a new deal.

Fox One & ESPN Unlimited Hit One Million Subs Combined
Research group Antenna says Fox One and ESPN Unlimited added one million subscribers combined in the first 10 days after launching on August 21. No confirmation from the providers yet. See The Verge article for more details.

Purdue-Notre Dame In 4K
Saturday’s Purdue at Notre Dame game at 3:30 p.m. ET will be available in upscale 4K on select TV providers including DIRECTV and YouTube TV. Notre Dame is 24th ranked despite being 0-2. Consult your on-screen guide for more details on whether your provider will carry the game in 4K.

Washington Wizards/Capitals Owner Wants to Buy Washington Nationals
Ted Leonsis, owner of the two DC area sports teams, and CEO of Monumental Sports Network, says he wants to buy the Washington Nationals. However, he says the current ownership, led by Mark Lerner, doesn’t want to sell. At least not yet. Leonsis could put the Nationals on his regional sports network if he was able to buy the team.

Netflix: Alvarez-Crawford Fight Drew 41 Million Viewers
It was billed as Netflix’s biggest live sports event yet and it certainly disappointed. The streamer says the Canelo Alvarez-Terence Crawford fight, won by Crawford in an unanimous decision, generated 41 million viewers.
