DIRECTV Offers Free Preview Of 8 Channels

DIRECTV tomorrow (January 28, 2026) will begin a seven-day free preview of eight channels, including two movie channels. The free preview is available to both satellite and streaming customers.

The preview, which will run from January 28 to February 3, includes the eight channels from the TV provider’s Movie Extra Pack which are located from channels 564 to 573.

The channels are: HDNet Movies, Sony Movies, Crime & Investigation, Smithsonian Channel, Hallmark Mystery, Hallmark Family, MTV Live, and Shorts TV.

The Movie Extra Pack, an add-on plan to a DIRECTV programming bundle, is normally $4.99 a month.

DIRECTV also offers more than 150 ad-supported free channels on its MyFree DIRECTV streaming service. You can watch the free channels by creating a DIRECTV account at DIRECTV.com and then going to the DIRECTV Stream app or this web page.
