The TV Answer Man – Buy Me a Coffee!
ABC, CBS, The CW, Fox, and NBC tonight (January 27, 2026) will add 14 shows to their lineups. Here are the three to watch, in my humble opinion. (All Times Eastern.)
Best Medicine (New Episode)
Where to Watch: Fox
When to Watch: 8 p.m.
Josh Charles stars as Dr. Martin Best, a brilliant Boston doctor who moves to a small fishing village in Maine where comic hijinks soon ensue. Charles (The Good Wife) is an amiable and amusing presence in this ‘fish out of water’ tale, if you’ll forgive the pun. In tonight’s new episode, Dr. Martin investigates a food poisoning outbreak in Port Winn; cue the potty jokes. (Display image above is Josh Charles from the show.)
Harlan Coben’s Final Twist (New Episode)
Where to Watch: CBS
When to Watch: 8 p.m.
Who’s In It: Harlan Coben
Best-selling mystery writer Harlan Coben drops the pen and dons the Fedora to investigate real-life mysteries in this new CBS series. In tonight’s new episode, Coben investigates the 20-year-old ‘cold case’ death of a Pennsylvania woman whose demise may have been covered up by arson. True crime fans will love this one.
High Potential (New Episode)
Where to Watch: ABC
When: 9 p.m. ET
Who’s In It: Kaitlin Olson, Daniel Sunjata
If you’re looking for a new show to love, check out High Potential which stars Kaitlin Olson as a genius single Mom (don’t all single Moms have to be geniuses?) who uses her exceptional brain power to help the local police solve crimes. Olson (It’s Always Sunny In Philadelphia) is very good in lead and ABC tonight will air a new episode (episode 11 in season two). Morgan (Olson) and detective Karadec (Daniel Sunjata) investigate the murder of an esports star and the trail leads to a Sushi chef! Hmm, sounds a bit fishy to me. (If you like it, you can catch up with season one and the first 10 episodes of season two on Hulu.)
