Hulu Today Added 52 New Shows & Movies – Here Are the 3 to Watch

Hulu today (September 1, 2025) has added 52 new TV shows and movies to its streaming lineup. Here are the three to watch, in my humble opinion:

Clueless (1995)
Alicia Silverstone stars as Cher Horowitz, a Beverly Hills teen girl who’s lives to shop and shops to live in this delightful satire from director/writer Amy Heckerling. Silverstone has never been better and the supporting cast including Paul Rudd, Stacey Dash and the late Brittany Murphy are also terrific. Variety reports that Clueless is returning as a series on a Peacock with Silverstone back as Cher.

Mean Girls (2004)
Written by 30 Rock’s Tina Fey, who also plays a teacher here, the 2004 comedy stars Lindsay Lohan as a high school student who befriends a gaggle of popular but bitchy classmates played by Rachel McAdams, Amanda Seyfried and Lacey Chabert. The decision leads to a series of misadventures and backstabbing as well as various plots of revenge. Mean Girls is a funny and smart take on high school life from one of America’s greatest living satirists, Ms. Fey.

Trap (2024)
Josh Hartnett (pictured above) stars as a father who accompanies his teen daughter to a pop star’s concert in Philadelphia only to soon discover it’s a trap for a notorious serial killer. The film, directed with characteristic puck by the master of the twist, M. Night Shyamalan (The Sixth Sense, Old), works largely because of Hartnett’s flawless performance as the Dad in distress. He’s become a great leading man and, despite his character’s flaws (no spoilers here!), you root for him as he tries to solve his dilemma. I saw this when it opened in the theater earlier last year. It’s not the best Shyamalan, but I would rank it in his top five. Trivia: Shyamalan’s real-life daughter plays the pop star.
