Netflix this month (June 2025) plans to add 75 new TV shows and movies to its streaming lineup. Here are the five most interesting, in my humble opinion.

Alfred Hitchcock – 6 Films
Release Date: June 1
Netflix adds six classic films from director Alfred Hitchcock: The Birds, Vertigo, Rear Window, The Man Who Knew Who Too Much, Family Plot, and Frenzy. (The streamer earlier added Psycho.) It says here that Vertigo and Rear Window are the best, both daring to deliver deep psychological drama (if not outright psychotic drama) in the pristine 1950s. But you can’t go wrong with any selection from the greatest director of suspense the world has ever known.

Squid Game (Season 3) – Netflix Original
Release Date: June 27
Squid Game (pictured above) is back for season three. The drama features hundreds of broke contestants who go for broke by risking their lives for cash prizes in a game show. The South Korean-made series is a biting but sometimes inspiring commentary on class warfare and the human survival instinct.

Ginny & Georgia (Season 3) – Netflix Original

Release Date: June 5.
Brianne Howey stars as Georgia, a woman who has been arrested for murder during her wedding, Can her best friend Ginny come to the rescue in season three?

Titan: The Oceangate Disaster – Netflix Original Documentary

Release Date: June 11.
The doc examines the submersible that exploded on the ocean floor enroute to photographing the Titanic.

Fubar (Season 2) – Netflix Original
Release Date: June 12.
Arnold Schwarzenegger is back in season two of his first TV series ever. The actor/politician/bodybuilder plays a CIA operative who discovers that his daughter works for the company as well. Comic and action hijinks soon ensue.
