Netflix to Remove 41 Movies In 5 Days – Which Ones Should You Watch Before They Leave?

Netflix plans to remove 41 movies on April 1, 2025. Here are the three you should watch before they leave, in my humble opinion.

Interstellar (2014)
Christopher Nolan directs this sci-fi classic starring Matthew McConaughey as an astronaut who travels through a wormhole in search of a new land to replace a dying Earth. While the film is rooted in science and space exploration, Nolan displays a soft touch as well by inserting a welcomed subplot of the astronaut’s relationship with his daughter, played as an adult by Jessica Chastain. The connection between the two serves as the fuel he needs to persist in spite of the mission’s dangers and it makes the film something more than typical sci-fi fare.
Baby Driver (2017)
Ansel Elgort stars as a mentally deficient getaway driver for a crime crew populated by a murderer’s row of superb supporting players – Kevin Spacey, Jon Hamm, Jamie Foxx, Jon Bernthal and Eiza Gonzalez. The team’s plan to pull off a heist backfires, leaving Elgort’s character at odds with the group and looking for a fast avenue out. Directed by Edgar Wright, Baby Driver is an inventive and action-packed crime drama flavored with some delicious scenery chewing performances. Great filmmaking on display here. And, boy, do we miss Spacey in roles like this.
Molly’s Game (2017)
Based on a true story, Jessica Chastain stars as Molly Bloom, a former world-class skier who agrees to manage underground poker games in Los Angeles and New York attended by famous actors and other elites. The operation goes south when the Russian Mafia butts in and Molly turns to larceny and drugs to survive. Directed by Aaron Sorkin, Molly’s Game is a perceptive portrayal of human frailty with strong performances from Chastain, Idris Elba as her attorney and Kevin Costner as her father.
