Have You Tried Sling TV? Here’s Why I Would Recommend Trying It Now

Sling TV, the live streaming service owned by Dish, has been in business now for almost a decade, longer than any other live streamer. However, if you haven’t tried Sling, this is the time I suggest you do. The service is now offering new customers $25 off the first month of service, bringing the base package price during that time to only $15.

What do you get for $15? The streamer has two base plans.

The Blue plan, which is normally $40 a month, provides more than 40 channels including the three major cable news networks, CNN, MSNBC, Fox News, as well as leading ‘basic cable’ networks as FS1, Bravo, The Cartoon Network, AMC, TNT, TBS, and your local Fox and NBC affiliates in select markets. In some markets, you can also get ABC. The Blue plan would enable you watch the baseball playoffs on TBS and Fox for the next month for just $15.

The Orange package, which is also normally $40 a month, only offers more than 30 channels so you might think Blue is better. But Orange includes ESPN, ESPN 2 and ESPN 3, which are must-haves for many sports fans. In addition, the Orange plan has CNN, Comedy Central, TBS, TNT and AMC. But Orange does not have any local channels.

As part of the promotional pricing, you can get both Blue and Orange for $30 for the first month. The cost of subscribing to Blue and Orange combined is normally $55 a month.

Note that Sling’s regular prices will apply after the first month unless you cancel prior to the end of the promotional period.
