College Students Can Now Get Max For 50 Percent Off

Max, the streaming service formerly known as HBO Max, is now offering U.S. college students a 50 percent discount on its Max with ads plan. That would reduce the cost from $9.99 a month to $4.99 a month.

The streamer says it’s using UNiDAYS, a verification-enabled platform for students, to confirm students’ active status. When the verification is complete, the student will receive a discount code which can be redeemed at Max.com.

Max says the 50 percent off deal for students will last 12 months after the initial sign-up. But students can re-verify their student status to continue getting a discount after the year is over.

The discounted subscription will automatically renew each month for up to 12 months unless the student cancels.

To be eligible for the student discount, you must be at least an 18-year-old legal resident of the 50 United States, the District of Columbia or certain U.S. territories, and be currently enrolled in a Title IV-accredited college or university in the United States in an associate’s degree, bachelor’s degree, or advanced degree program.
