TV Answer Man, I enjoyed the free Mother’s Day preview on MLB TV. Do you know if they are going to have another free preview anytime soon? — Dale, Morristown, New Jersey.
Dale, you’re right. MLB TV, the league’s online plan for out-of-market games, held a free preview over the weekend for Mother’s Day. Every game was free except for those blacked out locally. But if you missed it, don’t despair. There are still two ways to watch games for free on MLB TV.
One, MLB TV offers a free seven-day trial. If you’re a new customer who has never used the free trial, you can watch seven days for free without paying. Just be sure to cancel prior to the end of the free trial or you will be billed for the plan when it’s over. (MLB TV is now $139.99 for the remainder of the 2024 season.)
Second, MLB TV has one free game every day. Below is the list of free games for this week, Monday, May 13 through Saturday, May 18. All times Eastern:
Monday, May 13
Blue Jays vs. Orioles, 6:35 p.m.
Tuesday, May 14
Royals vs. Mariners, 9:40 p.m.
Wednesday, May 15
Guardians vs. Rangers, 8:05 p.m.
Thursday, May 16
Pirates vs. Cubs, 2:20 p.m.
Friday, May 17
Nationals vs. Phillies, 6:40 p.m.
Saturday, May 18
Pirates vs. Cubs, 2:20 p.m.
Local blackouts apply but this is a great way to watch some free baseball.
Dale, hope that helps. Happy viewing and stay safe!
