TV Answer Man, I saw your article about DIRECTV Stream having The Masters in 4K. Do you know if YouTube TV will have The Masters in 4K in streaming? — Harold, Pittsburgh.

Harold, The Masters golf tournament will begin today and run through Sunday, April 14 (final round) from the Augusta National Golf Club in Augusta, Georgia. For the ninth straight year, DIRECTV will offer 4K coverage of the event. And DIRECTV Stream this year will stream the event in 4K as well. The 4K feeds will include the ‘Amen Corner’ (holes 11th through 13th on channel 105) as well as the 15th and 16th holes (channel 106) on each day of the four-day event.

But what about YouTube TV, you ask? Will the nation’s largest live streaming service with more than eight million subscribers offer golf’s most prestigious event in 4K? YouTube TV arguably has as many live 4K sporting events as any other service with the exception of DIRECTV.

Well, the answer is no. DIRECTV’s 4K coverage of The Masters is an exclusive, as it has been for the last nine years. No other service will offer The Masters in 4K.

Harold, hope that helps. Happy viewing and stay safe!
