TV Answer Man, I know DIRECTV’s satellite will have The Masters in 4K. But what about DIRECTV Stream? 4K or no 4K? — Bobby, Jacksonville, Florida.

Bobby, The Masters, the sport’s most prestigious golf tournament, will be held this week between Thursday, April 11 (round one) through Sunday, April 14 (final round) from the Augusta National Golf Club in Augusta, Georgia.

I reported last week that DIRECTV this week will offer 4K coverage of the event for the ninth straight year. And today, I am reporting that DIRECTV Stream will provide the event in 4K as well. The 4K feeds will include the ‘Amen Corner’ (holes 11th through 13th on channel 105) as well as the 15th and 16th holes (channel 106) on each day of the four-day event.

The DIRECTV satellite service will also provide a high-def multi-screen view (the Mosaic) of the tournament which will show different holes and players at the same time. But DIRECTV Stream will not provide the Mosiac view.

ESPN and CBS will also provide high-def coverage of the live action on their channels while Peacock will stream an analysis show each day. See your on-screen guide for times.

Bobby, hope that helps. Happy viewing and stay safe!
