Fubo, the live streaming service, today will lose SportsNet New York (SNY) because the two sides could not reach a new carriage agreement, a Fubo spokeswoman tells The TV Answer Man. The dispute means that Fubo will no longer be able to stream SNY’s regional broadcasts of New York Mets games.

“Fubo and SNY were unable to reach a new agreement despite our best efforts to do so,
a Fubo spokeswoman tells The TV Answer Man. “As a result, SNY will leave Fubo today. Mets fans can watch games on Fubo through PIX 11 (New York’s The CW station), ESPN, Fox, MLB Network and MLB TV, depending on their location.”

Fubo has been aggressive in the past year in adding regional sports networks but the loss of SNY will likely hurt the streamer’s efforts in the New York market. YouTube TV also lost SNY last year after a similar carriage dispute.
