TV Answer Man, does MLB TV include the MLB Network channel? If not, is there a way to subscribe to the MLB Network channel without having to get a pay TV subscription to cable or satellite or a streaming service? — Hugh, New Haven, Connecticut.

Hugh, MLB TV, the league’s streaming package for out-of-market games, costs $149.99 for the entire season and it includes 7,000 minor league games as well as the MLB contests. But it does not include the MLB Network channel. MLB Extra Innings, the cable/satellite version of MLB TV, includes MLB TV for free but it does not include MLB Network, either.

MLB Network is also not available via a separate subscription. The only way to watch it is to subscribe to a pay TV service that offers it in one of its packages. For example, DIRECTV, Comcast, Spectrum TV, DIRECTV Stream and Fubo all carry MLB Network.

Hugh, hope that helps. Happy viewing and stay safe!
