Max, the streaming service formerly known as HBO Max, plans to add 100 new TV shows and movies to its lineup in March. Here are the three most interesting, in my humble opinion:

The Regime (HBO Original)
Kate Winslet returns to HBO after her juicy turn in Mare of Easttown as the chancellor of a crumbling East European regime in this political satire from Will Tracy, a writer on such smart fare as Succession and The Menu. With Tracy’s ideas, Winslet’s acting chops, and Stephen Frears’ direction (High Fidelity, The Grifters), The Regime promises to be an amusing and insightful look at today’s global politics. The supporting cast includes Hugh Grant, Martha Plimpton and Andrea Riseborough. First episode debuts Sunday, March 3. Future episodes to air every Sunday.

Wonka (2023)
Timothée Chalamet stars as Willie Wonka in this origin story of the great master of everyone’s favorite chocolate factory. Wonka, which chronicles young Willie’s dream of opening a chocolate shop, has been a gold mine for Warner Bros, grossing more than $600 million worldwide. The film will make its streaming debut on Max on March 8.

The Girls On the Bus (Max Original)
Melissa Benoist stars as a female journalist covering a flawed presidential candidate (based loosely on Hillary Clinton) and discovering life’s lessons along the way. The first two episodes debut March 14.
