HBO Max next month (November 2022) plans to add 115 new TV shows and movies to its streaming lineup, including several titles likely to interest even the most passive sports fan.

The new titles will include Say Hey, Willie Mays!, an HBO original documentary on the former San Francisco Giants centerfielder, arguably the greatest who ever played the game, compiling 660 home runs and a .301 batting average over a 23-year career; Shaq, an HBO original documentary on the former Los Angeles Lakers center (and now TNT commentator) who’s one of the NBA’s greatest players ever, winning two scoring titles and four league championships; and Hard Knocks: In Season: the Arizona Cardinals, the HBO original documentary that takes you behind the scenes of the struggling NFL West team.

And if that’s not enough to entice sports lovers, HBO Max in November will also add:

* Raging Bull, the Martin Scorsese-directed biofilm starring Robert De Niro as the savage middleweight boxer, Jake LaMotta. Critics have called De Niro’s performance one of cinema’s greatest ever while the film itself is regarded as arguably the best ever from the legendary Scorsese.

* Draft Day, the underrated 2014 drama starring Kevin Costner as a football GM on the tension-filled day when each team makes its top pick from the incoming college class.

* Caddyshack, the hilarious and drug-fueled send-up of a golf club starring Chevy Chase, Bill Murray, Ted Knight and Rodney Dangerfield.
