T-Mobile Customers Can Now Redeem the Free MLB TV Plan: How to Redeem It

MLB TV, the league’s streaming package of out-of-market games, is available this year for $149.99 for the entire season or $29.99 a month. However, T-Mobile, the wireless service, today is again providing the plan for free to customers with its T-Mobile and Metro by T-Mobile plans who have access to T-Mobile Tuesdays on the T-Live app. (You can download the T-Life app at Google Play and the Apple iTunes store, among other platforms.)

T-Mobile customers can redeem the free MLB TV subscription on the T-Life app from today (Tuesday, March 24) through Monday, March 30. After March 30, it will no longer be available to redeem for the 2026 season.

How to Redeem Your Free MLB TV
To redeem the benefit, T-Mobile and Metro by T-Mobile qualifying customers must:

Android Users:

1. Install (if not already) and open the T-Life app or myMetro app.

a. After an install, user will need to sign into the app using their T-Mobile or Metro by T-Mobilephone number.

2. Starting Tuesday, March 24, 2026, from 5:00 AM ET through Tuesday, March 31, 2026, at 4:59 AM ET:

a. Click on the MLB.TV tile in the T-Life app or myMetro app, which will take you to the detail page.

i. You may need to navigate to Benefits tab (T-Mobile customers) or Tuesdays (Metro customers).

b. Click “SAVE”, which will take you to the redemption page.

c. Click “REDEEM”, which will take you to MLB.com’s MLB.TV registration page, specifically for this T-Mobile benefit (you will not be asked to pay).

d. If you already have a MLB.com account, you will be directed to the “Returning Customers” page. Enter your username and password and click “Login”.

e. If you do not have a MLB.com account, you will be directed to the “Register” page. Enter the required fields and click “Register”.

f. You will then be routed to the confirmation page.

g. Click “WATCH NOW” to enjoy your free MLB.TV subscription!

iOS Users:

1. You must have the 18.0 or later version of the MLB app installed first on your device to access the redemption link. If you do not have the MLB App, please visit the App Store to download the MLB app. After you have downloaded the app, return to the T-Life app or myMetro app to redeem your free subscription.

2. Install (if not already) and open the T-Life app or myMetro app. After an install, user will need to sign into the app using their T-Mobile or Metro by T-Mobile phone number.

3. Starting Tuesday, March 24, 2026, from 5:00 AM ET through Tuesday, March 31, 2026, at 4:59 AM ET:

a. Click on the MLB.TV tile in the T-Life app, which will take you to the detail page.

i. You may need to navigate to Benefits tab (T-Mobile customers) or Tuesdays tab (Metro customers).

b. Click “SAVE”, which will take you to the MLB.TV redemption page.

c. Click “REDEEM”.

i. If you have not yet downloaded the compatible MLB app, you will be prompted to download the app (the app download will be free). Tap “Download on the App Store” to download or update to the latest version of the MLB app.

ii. If you have downloaded the compatible app, you will be taken to the MLB app.

d. Click “REDEEM NOW” which will prompt a free Apple Pay purchase to redeem the free MLB.TV subscription.

i. If user does not have a CC in their iTunes account, they will be required to add one, but the CC will not be charged.

e. Confirm free Apple Pay for MLB.TV for T-Mobile app.

f. If you already have a MLB.com account, you will be directed to the “Returning Customers” page. Enter your username and password and click “Login”.

g. If you do not have a MLB.com account, you will be directed to the “Register” page. Enter the required fields and click “Register”.

h. You will then be routed to the confirmation page.

i. Click “WATCH NOW” to enjoy your free MLB.TV subscription!

Note: Ensure in-app purchases are enabled in settings prior to redeeming.

MLB TV Blackout Restrictions
Local blackouts will still apply in the 2026 MLB TV out-of-market package. You cannot watch the team or teams in your local market with a MLB.TV subscription. You can determine which teams would be blacked out in your zip code here.

Why Does T-Mobile Offers MLB TV For Free?
The perk helps attract sports fans as well drive sales in February and March, which are traditionally slow for wireless service. T-Mobile’s deal with Major League Baseball run through the 2028 season.
