TV Answer Man, do you know if Comcast sells the RedZone channel as a separate channel? If so, what does it cost? – Gina, Boston.

Gina, Comcast is now selling its add-on More Sports and Entertainment plan, which includes the NFL RedZone channel, for $9.95 a month. (You must maintain a subscription to a Comcast Xfinity TV bundle plan, such as Popular or Ultimate, to add the More Sports and Entertainment plan.)

In comparison, DIRECTV’s Sports Pack, which includes the NFL RedZone, is $14.99 a month; Fubo’s SportsPlus plan with the RedZone is $10.99 a month; and Hulu’s Sports add-on with the RedZone is $9.99 a month. So Comcast’s RedZone plan is among the cheapest ways to get the channel.

The NFL RedZone channel, which has become one of the most popular sports TV offerings, provides live look-ins at key plays during multiple Sunday afternoon games during the regular season. The show is hosted by Scott Hanson.

Comcast’s More Sports and Entertainment package also includes the Cartoon Network, NFL Network, NBA TV, Military History Channel, CBS Sports channel, Turner Classic Movies and the Big 10 Network.
