HBO Max, Netflix, Amazon, Peacock Adding 9 New Releases Today: The 3 to Watch

The TV Answer Man – Buy Me a Coffee!
HBO Max, Disney Plus, Netflix, Amazon Prime and Peacock today (March 16, 2026) are adding nine new releases to their streaming lineups. Here are the three to watch, in my humble opinion:
Roofman (2025)
Where to Watch: Amazon’s Prime Video
What Kind of Movie: Crime Comedy
Who’s In It: Channing Tatum, Juno Temple, Kirsten Dunst
Channing Tatum stars in this real life and incredibly bizarre story of Jeffrey Manchester who robbed dozens of McDonald’s fast food joints, was caught, but then escaped and hid out for months in Toys ‘R’ Us and Circuit City stores. Yes, this really happened although the movie takes a few liberties, of course. Tatum is charming as usual in lead and the strong supporting cast includes Kirsten Dunst, Juno Temple, LaKeith Stanfield and Ben Mendelsohn.
The Plastic Detox
Where to Watch: Netflix
What Kind of Show: Health Documentary
The new Netflix doc poses the theory that exposure to plastics is the cause of the global infertility problem. The doc team chronicles six infertile couples who have removed plastics from their lives to see if it solved the problem. Guessing Bobby Kennedy, Jr. will be watching today.
Born to Bowl
Where to Watch: HBO Max
What Kind of Show: Sports Documentary
Who’s In It: Kyle Troup, Jason Belmonte
There was a time in America when professional (and amateur) bowling was watched by millions. In fact, the networks and local channels devoted weekly, and sometimes, even daily programs to bowling. (Does anyone remember, Bowling For Dollars?) But over the years, the sport has taken a significant dip in popularity with young viewers calling it boring. But that might be about to change. Surveys show bowling ratings are increasing and more Americans are going to the lanes. To capitalize on the trend, HBO Max presents Born to Bowl, a documentary featuring five bowlers – Kyle Troup, Anthony Simonsen, EJ Tackett, Cameron Crowe, and Jason Belmonte – as they prepare for a Professional Bowlers Association tour. The first episode today highlights the year’s first tournament in Indianapolis. (The last four episodes will air on subsequent Mondays.)
