Netflix, Amazon, Disney Plus, HBO Max, Paramount Plus, Peacock and Hulu this weekend (March 5-8, 2026) will add 46 new TV shows and movies to their streaming lineups. Here are the three to watch, in my humble opinion:

Rooster (Season one premiere)
Where to Watch: HBO Max
When to Watch: Sunday, March 8
What Kind of Show: Comedy
Who’s In It: Steve Carell, John C. McGinley, Charly Clive

Steve Carell stars as an author who has a complicated relationship with his daughter (Charly Clive) whose husband just split to have an affair. We don’t many details from HBO beyond that but Carell is very funny in the trailer and the writing team comes from shows like Ted Lasso so this looks like a good bet. Still not convinced? Connie Britton (Friday Night Lights) is in the recurring cast so it’s gotta’ be good.

Vladimir (Eight episode series)
Where to Watch: Netflix
When to Watch: Thursday, March 5
What Kind of Show: Comedy/Drama
Who’s In It: Rachel Weisz, Leo Woodall

Rachel Weisz stars as a bored college professor who suddenly becomes obsessed with a younger colleague (Leo Woodall). The fixation soon turns to fantasy and, ultimately, accusations of misconduct. Weisz says the show will turn the debate over ageism and cancel culture upside down. Sounds intriguing.

Nuremberg (2025)
Where to Watch: Netflix
When to Watch: Saturday, March 7
What Kind of Movie: Psychological Drama
Who’s In It: Russell Crowe, Rami Malek

And speaking of nihilistic amoralism, Russell Crowe stars as Hermann Goring, the German military officer who served as Adolf Hitler’s right-hand man in World War II. The film chronicles Goring’s arrest following the war and a U.S. Army officer’s (Rami Malek) investigation of his psychiatric condition prior to the Nuremberg trials. If you forgot just how commanding Russell Crowe can be on screen, you’ll be quickly reminded by his performance here. His portrayal of the bloodless Goring is as scary as anything you’ll ever see in a horror film. Malek is also good as the Army officer who struggles to understand what turned a human into a monster.
