Does T-Mobile’s MLB TV Free Benefit Auto Renew?

TV Answer Man, do you know if the MLB TV benefit from T-Mobile auto renews? Either auto renewal that you have to pay the next year or auto renewal for the freebie? So confused, Swanni!! Help!!! – Tony, Las Vegas.
Tony, that’s a great question. For the last several years, T-Mobile has offered select customers a full season of the MLB TV package of out-of-market games for free. The wireless service will do so again this year but what if you signed up for the freebie in 2025? Will it auto renew for free in 2026? Or will MLB TV or ESPN auto renew you so you have to pay the subscription fee of $149.99?
I can understand the confusion but there is no auto renewal for T-Mobile’s MLB TV free perk. You will have to manually redeem the benefit when the company makes it available this year through its Tuesday app, likely in late March.
Neither ESPN or MLB TV will auto renew you, either. As you may know, if you subscribe to MLB TV through the league’s site (and now through the ESPN Unlimited app), you will be automatically renewed at full price for the next year around March 1. But the T-Mobile free users are not auto renewed.
Tony, I hope that answers your question. Happy viewing and stay safe!
