NBC, Fox, CBS, ABC, CW Adding 17 New Shows Tonight: The 3 to Watch

Fox, CBS, ABC, The CW and NBC tonight (January 22, 2026) will add 17 shows to their lineups. Here are the three to watch, in my humble opinion. (All Times Eastern.)

The Hunting Party (New Episode)
Where to Watch: NBC
When to Watch: 10 p.m.
Who’s In It: Melissa Roxburgh, Nick Wechsler
How’s this for a premise? The world’s most dangerous serial killers escape from a top-secret prison and a special force is tasked to catch each one before they kill again. How did Netflix miss this one?! The Hunting Party tonight airs a new episode: Bex (Melissa Roxburgh) chases a killer who targets wealthy New Yorkers (Might want to check the Mamdani campaign – hey, just kidding! They just want to tax the wealthy to death.) If you’re intrigued by The Hunting Party, Peacock has the entire first season ready to binge.

Jimmy Kimmel Live (New episode)
Where to Watch: ABC
When to Watch: 11:35 p.m.
Who’s In It: Jimmy Kimmel, Carrie Underwood
I don’t normally select the late night chatfests but Jimmy Kimmel tonight welcomes all three judges (Carrie Underwood, Luke Bryan, Lionel Richie) for this season’s American Idol which premieres Monday night. If country-western fans are lucky, Carrie and Luke will warble a few tunes as well.

Grey’s Anatomy (New Episode)
Where to Watch: ABC
When to Watch: 10 p.m.
Who’s In It: Ellen Pompeo, Chandra Wilson, Anthony Hill, Jason George, 
Grey’s Anatomy is now in season 22 and the staff is looking a bit gray themselves. But the longest-running medical drama still packs a punch. Tonight’s new episode features the ongoing prostrate problems for Dr. Richard (James Pickens Jr) while Meredith (Ellen Pompey) and Nick (Scott Speedman) are having domestic issues. Cast member Kim Raver directs tonight’s episode.
