The TV Answer Man – Buy Me a Coffee!
TV Answer Man, do you know what the TV schedule is for the Wild Card round of the NFL this weekend? I am so confused by all the different channels and what not. – Todd, New Haven, Connecticut.
Todd, I feel your pain. The first round of the 2025 season NFL playoffs starts this weekend and there are no fewer than 10 different channels and streaming services carrying games over three days. (Not only that, the TV schedule was not confirmed until yesterday, causing even more confusion for viewers.)
So let’s take a look at the first round of games and the upcoming TV schedule:
Saturday, January 10
Los Angeles Rams at Carolina Panthers (4:30 p.m. ET) – Fox, Fox One
Green Bay Packers at Chicago Bears (8 p.m. ET) – Amazon’s Prime Video
Sunday, January 11
Buffalo Bills at Jacksonville Jaguars (1 p.m. ET) – CBS, Paramount Plus
San Francisco 49ers at Philadelphia Eagles (4:30 p.m. ET) – Fox, Fox One
Los Angeles Chargers at New England Patriots (8 p.m. ET) – NBC, Peacock
Monday, January 12
Houston Texans at Pittsburgh Steelers (8 p.m. ET) – ESPN, ABC, ESPN Unlimited app
A few notes: The Packers-Bears game on Saturday is an Amazon Prime exclusive, meaning it will not be available on other channels or streaming services. (An exception to this rule: It will be available on local channels in the two teams’ markets. We’ve asked NFL Plus if it will stream the game and will update this article if we get more information. Also, Amazon has a 30-day free trial and the game will be on its free Twitch gaming service.)
UPDATE: NFL Plus will not stream the Amazon game.
Fox is likely to offer its weekend games in upscaled 4K, but that has not been confirmed yet.
Todd, I hope that answers your question. Happy viewing and stay safe!
