Netflix, Amazon’s Prime Video, Disney Plus, Hulu and HBO Max today (January 2, 2026) are adding 14 new TV shows, sporting events and movies to their streaming lineups. Here are the three to watch, in my humble opinion:

Rock & Roll Hall of Fame 2025 Induction Ceremony
What Kind of Show: Music Variety
Where to Watch: Hulu
Who’s In It: The White Stripes, Elton John, Soundgarden, Cyndi Lauper

The musical special, which was recorded on November 8, 2025 in front of a live audience from the Peacock Theater in LA, will feature tributes to this year’s Rock & Roll Hall of Fame inductees including Soundgarden, OutKast, Cyndi Lauper and The White Stripes. Performers such as Elton John and Missy Elliott will join the inductees in singing some of their biggest hits. If you’ve never seen one of these Rock & Roll HOF shows, it’s definitely worth your time. The musicians go all out to celebrate their colleagues; you won’t hear better jams anywhere.

Ash (2025)
What Kind of Movie: Sci-fi Drama
Where to Watch: Hulu
Who’s In It: Eiza Gonzalez, Aaron Paul

Eiza Gonzalez stars as Riya, an astronaut who wakes up on a distant planet to discover her entire crew has been killed. Brion (Aaron Paul from Breaking Bad) soon enters the space station to rescue her but Riya doesn’t know for sure whether he’s a rescuer or the killer. I haven’t seen Ash but Rotten Tomatoes gives it a score of 71 with a review summary that sounds fantastic: “Ash delivers the phantasmagorical goods with vivid visuals and a throbbing soundscape, elevating a predictable sci-fi story into a memorably stylish head-trip.”

Found (Seasons one and two
What Kind of Show: Drama
Where to Watch: Netflix
Who’s In It: Shanola Hampton, Kelli Williams

Here’s another hidden gem. Shanola Hampton stars in this two-season NBC drama as Gabi, a former kidnapping victim who starts an agency to search for missing people in police cold cases. The twist here is that Gabi kidnaps her kidnapper (Mark-Paul Gosselaar from Saved By the Bell) and hides him in her basement so she can learn the secrets of why people abduct others. Rotten Tomatoes gives this show a 70, praising Hampton and saying the show is “slick enough to get lost in.” Found was cancelled after two seasons so you can watch the entire show now on Netflix.
