NBC, CBS, ABC, Fox and The CW tonight (December 31, 2025) will add seven new shows for New Year’s Eve viewers. Here are the three to watch, in my humble opinion. (All Times Eastern.)

New Year’s Eve Live: Nashville’s Big Bash
Where to Watch: CBS
When to Watch: 8-10 p.m. ET, 10:30 p.m.-1:30 a.m, ET
Since it’s New Year’s Eve, we have to pick CBS’ countdown celebration to country music. New Year’s Eve Live: Nashville’s Big Bash will include five hours of musical hoedown with such performers as Lainey Wilson, Jason Aldean and Bailey Zimmerman, among many others. Burt Kreischer and Hardy will host.

Dick Clark’s Primetime New Year’s Rockin’ Eve With Ryan Seacrest 2026
Where to Watch: ABC
When to Watch: 8 p.m.-10 p.m., 10:30 p.m.-4 a.m.
Well, it has to be the longest show title of 2025, and Dick Clark has been dead for 13 years, but Dick Clark’s Primetime New Year’s Rockin’ Eve With Ryan Seacrest 2026 (Whew!) has become the go-to New Year’s Eve show for many home revelers. Tonight, the program with the longest title will also have the longest New Year’s show – seven and a half hours! – but it needs all that time; after all, look at this guest list: Mariah Carey, Pitbull, Demi Lovato, Post Malone, Diana Ross (!), Chappell Roan, KPop Demon Hunters, New Kids On the Block and Zara Larsson, among many, many others. Pretty much everyone…except Dick Clark.

When to Watch: 8 p.m.
And if you don’t want to celebrate the new year, celebrate the 1990s with this two-hour special on the Boy Band craze of that decade. NSYNC, Backstreet Boys, 98 Degrees, One Direction. They’re all there with new interviews from band members such as Nick Lachey and AJ McLean.
