Amazon Prime to Remove 55 Movies & Shows In 11 Days – 3 to Watch Before They Leave

The TV Answer Man – Buy Me a Coffee!
Amazon’s Prime Video will remove 55 shows and movies after December 31, 2025. Here are the three you should watch before they leave, in my humble opinion:
Landman, Season one
Billy Bob Thornton stars as a Texas oil company fixer in this drama (with a pinch of comedy) series from producer/writer Taylor Sheridan (Yellowstone). This is arguably the best show on TV now thanks to Billy Bob’s charismatic performance as the oilman who will do anything to further his company’s agenda, even manipulating the U.S. military to bomb a Mexican drug cartel that threatened to disturb an exploration. (Like I said, he will do anything.) The terrific supporting cast in season one included Ali Larter as Billy Bob’s WILD ex-wife, Jon Hamm as the oil company CEO, and Demi Moore as the CEO’s wife. Paramount Plus is now airing season two but season one is now available on Prime.

The Hurt Locker
The Hurt Locker (2008)
The brilliant 2008 Iraqi war drama stars Jeremy Renner as a munitions specialist who’s ready to blow. There have been many films that strive to show the horrors of war after the soldier comes home but few have done it better than The Hurt Locker. Renner’s character becomes addicted to war’s adrenaline rush and is never able to live normally again. It’s a great performance.
Annie Hall (1977)
Woody Allen’s comedy masterpiece is based loosely on the actor/director’s romance with Diane Keaton (pictured above), who plays the title character. The film, which captured the 1978 Academy Award for Best Picture, combines Woody’s comic brilliance with an insightful take on relationships and human foibles. Such a great movie and one that filmmakers have tried to replicate ever since with varying degrees of success. Annie Hall is a great showcase for Ms. Keaton who recently died at the age of 78; pay some homage to the great actress and stream in. You’ll be glad you did.
