Comcast is now offering its Sports & News genre plan for $50 a month for three months to new Xfinity TV users, a discount of $60 over the regular price of $70 a month.

The deal is good until Friday, November 21, 2025. The regular rate of $70 a month will apply after month three unless you cancel prior to the end of the promotional period.

The Xfinity Sports & News package offers more than 50 broadcast, cable news and sports channels as well as other perks such as free Peacock Premium ($10.99 a month value) and 300 hours of DVR storage.

The Sports & News channels include the four major networks (ABC, Fox, NBC and CBS), ACC Network, Big Ten Network, ESPN, FS1, Golf Channel, SEC Network, ABC, CBS, FOX, NBC, Telemundo, Univision, CNBC, CNN, FOX News and MSNBC, among others. The remainder of the lineup consists largely of channels available via an antenna or news and shopping nets.

Subscribers to the Sports & News plan can watch the channels on streaming devices that include the Xfinity Stream app, a browser on your computer, or an Xfinity X1 box that must be ordered from the company. You must be in a Comcast-serviced market to order the package.

Despite being termed a ‘sports’ plan, Xfinity Sports & News does not include TBS or TNT which offer MLB, NHL and NBA games. There are also just a few regional sports networks included in-market in the plan.

Like DIRECTV and Fubo, both of which also offered genre plans at reduced prices, Comcast is trying to reach cost-conscious consumers who want to watch sports and news without paying for a more expensive bundle with dozens of other channels included.
