Monumental Sports Network, which last night lost carriage on YouTube TV and Hulu Live, is now available in the Washington, D.C. market as a $19.99 a month add-on plan with DIRECTV’s MySports $69.99 a month genre pack. The channel is the regional TV home of the NBA’s Washington Wizards, NHL’s Washington Capitals and WNBA’s Washington Mystics.

In addition, Monumental Sports has lowered the cost of an annual subscription to its standalone streaming plan from $199.99 to $179.99. The monthly price is $19.99.

Monumental Sports is clearly anxious to generate new subscribers after the loss of the two largest multichannel live streaming services, YouTube TV and Hulu Live.

DIRECTV’s MySports, which is available for $59.99 a month for the first two months, contains more than 20 national sports and news networks including ESPN, FS1 and the MLB Network. The plan, one of several genre packs offered by DIRECTV, is designed to attract cost-conscious consumers who have cut the cord. MySports subscribers can add Monumental Sports in the Washington, D.C, market for $19.99 a month in addition to the cost of the base plan.

“Monumental Sports Network already reaches millions of homes across the DMV, and we’re always looking for ways to make it even easier for fans to watch our live games and our other programming,” said Zach Leonsis, President of Media & New Enterprises at Monumental Sports & Entertainment (MSE), said in a statement. “We’re constantly pushing to make Monumental more accessible—whether it’s enhancing the streaming experience or lowering the cost of subscriptions—because we’re fighting for our fans’ best interests. They give so much to our network and teams, and we’re committed to doing right by them.”

Monumental Sports is also available on DIRECTV’s satellite and streaming plans as well as Comcast and Verizon.
