TV Answer Man, I read your article about the Peacock Select plan not having live sports. Do you know if Peacock on Walmart Plus has the live sports feature? I don’t want to get it if it doesn’t. – Tony, Las Vegas.
Tony, that’s a great question. I wrote an article yesterday that warned consumers about Peacock’s new $49.99 a month offer for its Select plan. The plan, alas, does not include live sports, something that is not clearly stated in the offer. If you want Peacock’s stream of NBC Sports events, such as Sunday Night Football, you will need to get its Premium ($10.99 a month) or Premium Plus plan ($13.99 a month).
As for Peacock on the Walmart+ plan, starting tomorrow, the retailer will offer either Paramount Plus’ Essential or Peacock Premium as a free benefit that comes with other features such as free same-day delivery from your local store on certain purchases. (Walmart+ costs $98 a year or $12.95 a month.) The Peacock Premium plan does include live sports, as noted above, as does the Peacock Premium Plus plan which is not available with Walmart Plus.
By the way, the Paramount Essentials plan does not include a live feed of your CBS affiliate so you will not get most sports that stream on the Paramount Plus Premium plan. (NFL games are included on Essentials.) If you want the entire CBS Sports lineup via your CBS affiliate, you will need the Paramount Plus Premium plan which costs $12.99 a month.

Tony, I hope that answers your question. Happy viewing and stay safe!

You can also get a discount on Walmart + if you are am AARP member. I believe it is $42 off, so that makes the Walmart + deal for these streaming services even better.
